Customer Service Tips

Whether you are providing a service or selling a product, it is important to have customer service skills. Below are some tips I found that I believe are helpful.

1. Under promise and over deliver-if you give a customer a deadline of completion, MEET the deadline or have it finished BEFORE the deadline

2. Don’t be emotional-show up and do the job. Everyone has good and bad days, but customers don’t care.

3. Listen to your customer-often customers just want to be heard

4. Don’t make excuses-own the mistake, apologize, fix it, and do not explain

5. Do not use the word “policy”
